Dr. Steven Lin is passionate and caring towards his patients. He listens to his patients’ concerns and puts their needs on the top of his list. In turn, he offers dental treatments that are in his patients’ best interest. He is trusted and praised for his integrity and honesty. He is also easily accessible to his patients should his patients have any urgent needs. Lastly, he is knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing cutting-edge technology.

Dr. Lin obtained his bachelor degree in Biology from theUniversity of California, Irvine (UCI) where he graduated with magna cum laude honors. He then graduated from top rated University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Lin’s passion for dentistry led him to pursue a teaching career as a clinical faculty member at the UCSF Dental School in 2007. He currently splits his time between teaching dentistry at UCSF and seeing patients in his private practice in Mountain View.

Dr. Lin has been practicing in private practice in California for 18 years and is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Mid-Penninsula Dental Society.

Dr. Mindy Huang strongly believes in a holistic approach to dental health. She tailors each patient’s treatment to their specific needs and educates her patients on how to improve and maintain their oral health.

Dr. Mindy Huang graduated in 1982 from Zhongshan University School of Dentistry in China. She later moved to the United States and did post graduate training in Oral Medicine at UCSF and obtained a M.S. in Oral Biology at UCLA. Dr. Huang received her California dental license in 1995 has been practicing dentistry in California for over two decades. She is currently an active member in American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Mid-Peninsula Dental Society.

Dr. Huang speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Huang enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places.

Dr. David Thai received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is a bay area native and received his Bachelor of Science in Microbial Biology from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). Dr. Thai is currently a guest lecturer at UCSF and has been published in the Journal of Oral Implantology. He is trained in comprehensive care dentistry and makes it his goal to educate, motivate, and restore each patient’s smile and health.

Dr. Thai is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS).

Community involvement is important to Dr. Thai. He has been involved with fabricating sports mouthguards for the basketball and wrestling programs at San Francisco State University (SFSU), as well as for the Cal football and rugby teams. Internationally, Dr. Thai has provided dental care in Jamaica in 2012 and 2013 through a non-profit, Great Shape! Inc.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Thai enjoys watching SharkTank, playing competitive badminton, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite personality traits are empathy, humility, and humor.

Dr. Laura Yusman Lim focuses on providing comfort and best patient care for all ages, while taking her time to explain treatment options in a way that patients can understand. She takes great pride in partnering with patients to help them achieve and maintain a lifetime of excellent oral health.

Dr. Laura graduated with honors from University of California, Davis, majoring in Biological Sciences with emphasis in Biochemistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. In addition, she elected to do a year in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program after graduation to further her knowledge and training. Dr. Laura is an active member of the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Academy General Dentistry (AGD) and Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS).

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Laura enjoys traveling, experiencing different restaurants, staying fit, and taking advantage of all the natural beauty the Bay Area has to offer with her husband.

Dr. Melissa Shing is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for her patients. She is calm and gentle and strives to help her patients feel comfortable, especially if it’s their first time at a dentist. Dr. Shing is honest and believes in the most conservative treatment needed to create a healthy smile.

She has experience working with patients of different backgrounds, including children, the elderly, and medically compromised patients. Dr. Shing pursued advanced training at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Palo Alto, and received her DDS from top rated University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her BA from prestigious University of California, Berkeley where she studied Molecular Cell Biology.

Dr. Shing enjoys working with all ages, especially the youngest ones. At UCLA School of Dentistry, she was coordinator for the UCLA-USC Pediatric Mobile Clinics that helped provide free dental care to underserved populations. Dr. Shing believes that dental education starts at a young age and teaching kids early about good oral health provides a strong foundation for healthy teeth.

Her passion for dentistry goes beyond the dental clinic. Dr. Shing has traveled to Mexico, China, and Myanmar on various dental missions trips, bringing dentistry to those that aren’t able to access dental care. This is where she’s found to be the most rewarding aspect of being a dentist.

Besides traveling, in her free time, Dr. Shing enjoys spending time with her family. She has three children, Lucas, Emma, and Ava, who keep her busy and make life fun and unpredictable. Also, Dr. Shing is an avid runner and cyclist, having competed in triathlons and duathlons. And, she enjoys good food and interesting documentaries. She’s always interested to hear about your latest adventure or new local restaurant you’ve tried.

Dr. Shing continues to pursue continuing education in her field and is active in the Santa Clara Dental Society and is a member of the California Dental Association and American Dental Association.
